Bio

Born on Long Island, New York I moved with my family at a very young age to Central Florida. As a child and as a young adult, I never really traveled much. I always had an interest to travel, but expenses and a fear of flying kept me from that reality. Throughout all of my life I have always had a passion for animals, nature and photography. Several years ago I started focusing my photography towards nature and all of its intricacies.

Another fascination of mine was Butterflies. I created a garden with host plants to attract and watch them reproduce. They transformed from caterpillar to cocoon and then emerged into a butterfly, something every person should experience. In my opinion, they are truly one of the most extraordinary and beautiful species. In addition to the Butterflies, Tree Frogs became another frequent visitor. I became fascinated with them, not to mention how adorable they are. They would come to my patio and yard daily. The two species became the inspiration of most of my work.

I do feel that opposites attract - the butterfly, an insect that feeds off of the energy of the sun, and the tree frog that feeds in the darkness of the night, became my inspiration of ButaFrog.

I use a Cannon 35mm SLR camera and add Swarovski crystals to enhance my pictures to capture light and bring them to life with movement. All pictures are matted using acid free materials. My vision, inspiration, passion, and travels are a pleasure to share with you.
